IT User Support – System Administrator

ABOUT ATTUNITY AND THE ROLE:

Growing Software Solutions company North of Boston is looking for a IT User Support – System Administrator for our growing organization. 

Working with the IT Manager, this person is depended upon to provide solutions to user's issues spanning every area of technology throughout the organization. Perform duties as the primary, first level technical resource in a multi-site Microsoft Windows environment. Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting end users and administering systems.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • First line support for end users both onsite and remote
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Document services performed for each system
  • Understanding of ticketing workflow, prioritization matrix, SLA enforcement & incident response to ensure users issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to and maintain internal IT knowledge base and procedural checklists
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Review daily logs: Backups, Anti-Virus, Patching and system reports

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills

  • Proficient configuring and troubleshooting Windows 7, 8 & 10
  • Experience working with Windows Server 2008 & 2012
  • Microsoft OS imaging and deployment tools
  • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS & Group Policy implementation
  • Familiarity with firewalls, switches, wireless access points, printers and peripherals

Application Experience

  • MS Office 365 installation and configuration
  • VMware ESXi and Workstation
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection or other Enterprise endpoint protection platform
  • Cisco or other VPN technology
  • Veem or other backup application

  • ITIL 3 Foundations Framework
  • Microsoft MCITP
  • A+ 
  • Security + 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science or equivalent experience
