We’re proud to announce at the AWS re:Invent conference that we have extended our Big Data solutions to Hadoop in the cloud. Attunity CloudBeam now facilitates data transfer between on-premise and Hadoop systems running on Amazon Web Services.

This week, Attunity was at the AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas where we let 19,000 attendees and the world know that that Attunity CloudBeam now transfers data between enterprise data centers and Hadoop running on the AWS Cloud. This means that our customers can now leverage the power of Big Data analytics with Amazon Elastic Map Reduce (Amazon EMR) and other Hadoop distributions running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2).

Amazon EMR gives enterprises high-scale resources on demand to power an exciting range of use cases, including analyses of large scientific data sets, millions of mobile/website logs for website improvement and myriad clickstreams to improve online ads, according to AWS.

Barry Russell, Head of Global Business Development, AWS Marketplace, Amazon Web Services, Inc. said "Attunity CloudBeam for Amazon EMR is great for companies that want to keep their analytics data lakes current on the AWS Cloud using incremental data updates.”

Ken Linger, Director of Enterprise Systems at LeaseHawk, has been using Attunity CloudBeam to enable a zero-downtime data migration for their mission-critical Disaster Recovery initiative. Ken was pleased with the time advantage: “Attunity enabled LeaseHawk to replicate Oracle data across on-premises and Amazon RDS environments, reducing refresh times from 14 hours to under 15 seconds.” In his first visit to theCUBE, Ken spoke with John Furrier about LeaseHawk's experiences with AWS and Attunity CloudBeam on the show floor at the re:Invent 2015 conference.
